To take the collective climate commitments into action and in the run-up to COP21 in Paris, developed and developing countries are working through the Lima-Paris  Action Agenda (LPAA), an initiative that unites state and non-state actors worldwide to accelerate present and future cooperative climate actions to support the new agreement.

This initiative is led jointly by the Peruvian and French presidencies of the COP, the Office of the General Secretary of the UNFCCC Secretariat, and aims to strengthen the climate action throughout 2015, in December Paris and onwards.

In this way, the LPAA brings together climate action covering twelve areas: agriculture, forestry, transportation, renewable energy, access to energy and energy efficiency, resilience, cities and regions, private funding, companies, innovation, buildings and short-lived pollutants.

Among them, Peru leads the forests and resilience initiatives, through which seeks to show the urgency of action and solutions being undertaken in order to achieve global sustainable development.
