Journalist Visa

Peruvian consulates around the world issue, for free, a special type of visa for journalists. This visa allows journalists to bring their professional equipment in peruvian territory without custom payments.

REQUIREMENTS

TEMPORARY ENTRANCE OF PROFESSIONAL EQUIPMENT

Please download the Temporary Entrance of Professional Equipment Form from this link: http://www.rree.gob.pe/noticias/Paginas/Internamiento-temporal-de-material-y-equipo-filmico.aspx

Fill in the document with professional equipment information and hand it in to the peruvian consulate with the other requirements.

Please note that equipment like fly away communications systems and drones are not to be included in this form. The arrangement for the entrance of this kind of equipment must be done with the Ministry of Transport And Communications.

ONLY FOR JOURNALISTS WITH NO PERUVIAN CONSULATE IN THEIR COUNTRY OR CLOSE TO THEIR COUNTRY

An electronic visa can be issued, only after being accredited to COP20, at the following link: http://cop20.rree.gob.pe/

After receiveing an email with the electronic visa, journalists must print it and hand it in with their Passport at peruvian airport.

If the journalist brings in any profesional equipment, the online application allows them to upload the Temporary Entrance of Professional Equipment Form.
